Springwood Winmalee Anglican Churches

People—Parish Council

In 2010, parish council consists of:

Wardens

Christ Church Warden

John Lambert - CC 8am

  • John Lambert has been a member at Christ Church 8 am for over 30 years

Ministry Centre Warden

David Lynch David Lynch

  • It’s better than just being a Pew sitter
  • I enjoy helping others and being involved in the decision making that goes with being part of Parish Council.
  • I have administrative skills and feel it is a good thing to use those skills in my parish. The Bible talks about the various gifts found in those who are part of the church in Corinthians 12:27 & 28 “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues”
  • At work I look after budgets, manage staff and a couple of buildings. I thought what trouble could I possibly get into managing just one more building in Springwood? So I said yes..

St Georges Warden

Wilfred StormWilfred Storm

  • This is my second year on Parish Council afer being asked to fill the position as Warden for the Winmalee site.
  • I have found this to be a great challenge and a real learning experience as I did not fully appreciate what the role and responsibilities of the Warden were.
  • It has been a real encouragement to me to experience the unity and the willingness of Parish Council members to serve our Lord in this capacity.

  • I am on the Parish Council to prayerfully represent the people from Valley Heights Community Church and inform them on matters that concern them.
  • It is good to be on a committee, that is united its aim, to do its best in policy interests for the Parish as a whole.
  • To support the staff, so that they are able to minister to us with the gifts that God has given them.

I've been involved with SWAC for some 20 years with my wife Trish and three children, Aaron, Sarah and Naomi. In my spare time (!) I work around home, enjoy hospitality, holidays and seek to serve for God's Glory in these roles, as he enables me.
